The Prospect Park Zoo!

First Grade went to the Prospect Park Zoo! We had a workshop, learning about the various animals at the zoo. The children even got to pet a real rabbit! After the workshop, everyone got the opportunity to play in the dress up area, pretend to be a veterinarian, cook in a toy kitchen, sit in a tepee and more.
The children then went to tour the zoo and see the various animals. What a beautiful day!

The Botanical Gardens

First Grade went on a trip to the Botanical Gardens. The children loved the walk over small bridges and seeing the large fish below! It was a beautiful sunny day to walk through the beautiful, colorful gardens and see all of the incredible flowers! 

 

Emy Brought in a Moon!

Emy brought in a moon for the class to see. With each click of the remote, the moon would light up displaying the various stages of the moon through the month.

The children loved it. Thank you Emy!



Healthy Snack Bar!

In continued celebration of Health Month, First Grade got to enjoy a very exciting and delicious Healthy Snack Bar. The made their very own Guacamole salad using fresh vegetables which looked and tasted amazing! They also made special strawberry filled snacks with ricotta cheese, maple syrup, cinnamon and topped with some blueberries! 
The children came away learning that Healthy Snacks can be delicious as well as easy to make!
