Zaylin's dad read "Ish" by Peter Reynolds. While he was reading I had a great idea. The first graders should draw their own "ISH" pictures. I wanted them to draw something they are proud of, something that was truly their creation. Once they were finished each child had a chance to show the class what they drew and tell them why.
